3 Major Habits That Transformed The Lives Of Otedola And Dangote That Made Them Billionaires
One thing is very confusing to the human race, how some few persons take up the ladder of success and climb to the peak. This is a question that rock only within the poor masses.
In the world, the majority are always poor, and few always get up to success. In Nigeria especially, we can see how the majority are wallowing in poverty and they continue to transfer it to their generations to come.
All these people have one or two habits in common that made them remain in the state of poverty. Once their children continue with these habits they also remain poor.
I read somewhere that 96% of people born into a poor home are becomes poorer. I want to agree with that assertion, but I figured out the reason for the continuing impoverished is because the 96% allowed their background to bring their back to the ground. There are other people with poorer background but they do well than their parents or even become millionaires. So why is it that many people face the same situations, but they get out of this situation differently.
I re-quote Charles Swindoll’s quotes that says “10% is what happen to me in Life, but 90% is how I reacted to it”
That is to say, everything that happened to us in life is how we react to it. The likes of Adenuga, Dangote and Otedola were not all actually born into a family with silver spoon in their mouth, but they have raced out of the poverty way of life, by reacting strategically to what life gave to them.
Here I will be highlighting some of the habits the rich people inculcate that makes them become the richest. Perhaps you can start following such.
1. They refuse to Blame anyone.
Many rich people today where not rich from the beginning of life. They had some time they suffered, by trekking a long way to get to school or even feed. One things about the rich is that they don’t blame people for there past failure.
They don’t blame there parents for not being there for them as kids.
“Adenuga didnt blame his poor parents, he rather worked as a Taxi driver to fund his university education.”
They didn’t blame the government for being corrupt and never care for them.
They don’t blame their rich uncles for not supporting them.
They only take up themselves and discover their path, and this is a reason they became richer and they will continue to become richer.
2. They didn’t waste TIME doing little things.
The beautiful thing about the Rich people is that they always know the importance of time. They don’t waste time doing things that doesn’t count.
You would notice that poor people, always gather themselves in one spot talking about things that aren’t relevant. Poor people spend a lot of time on social media chatting irrelevance.
Rich people aren’t like this. When Rich people spends time, they do only on things that count.
Planning your time is also very important, don’t spend all of the time reading, sleeping or chatting.
Say to yourself, “I want to read for just 2 hours”. Then you can spend the next two hours reading without distraction.
If you don’t work online, then you need to learn how to stop staying online all day.
3. They don’t disrespect money.
I was reading one of Reno Omokri tweet. He said
“Money is a seed. Seeds serve no purpose being in your mouth. Bury seeds in the ground (investments). Wait for it to mature. Then eat its fruit. Those with savings may end up making banks rich. Those with investments end up making themselves wealthy”
Rich people don’t spend money on irrelevant things. They also don’t keep or save money meant to be capitalized. They invest then they spend the fruits from the money.
Poor people often prefer their money in the bank while they withdraw bit by bit for consumption.
Poor people like to buy things that doesn’t add to them.
If Dangote had spent the grant given by is uncle on irrelevant things he would have been poor like others too.
Being rich has no magic, just do the following
1. Have a goal – Dangote begin as a cement seller, and he saw himself owning a cement company.
2. Work on your goal – If it means to do odd jobs to fund your goals.
3. Stop procrastination and Blaming
4. Manage your Time
5. Spend money on this that improve you
6. Be prayerful
Like I said initially, 90% of what happens to you in life is how you react to the 10% hardship you face.
Say to yourself and comment “I want to be rich”
Thanks for reading.
